The Black Order are Death's closest henchmen on any battlefield. As soon as the slaughter between brave warriors subsides, paladins dressed in obsidian armor rise from the black haze. After each war, among the heaps of corpses, warriors remain alive, crippled and unable to rise to their feet, dying in terrible agony. And there is no one else to finish them off, granting a glorious death to brave warriors. Black Paladins exist to come to the aid of such poor fellows. They restore the half-dead to their healthy bodies and seething life force. But only in order to give their souls to Death in a moment, slaying them in the last fair duel. The power of the Black Paladins is immeasurably great, but their life is terribly boring. The oldest and strongest of the Black Order named Kord desired a better use of his power and became an apostate, fleeing the power of Death. Now Kord roams the world in search of a warrior who can finally match his strength in a fair fight.
