DESCRIPTION & LORE

Description

Truthbringer is a ranged agility hyper carry who dishes out divine retribution. All his spells deal pure damage while simultaneously making him hard to escape from. Sinners will be tracked down by retribution and meet a swift end from pure damage attacks. Halo keeps targets within shooting distance. Obstacles in Truthbringer's way will be effortlessly avoided by Judgement Day. And the Truth can be an opening or finishing blow.

Angels are supposed to be pretty big deal in DOTA lore. Even more so than God's like Zeus or Mars. Terrorblade asks Omniknight and Skywrath mage with FEAR in his voice if they're angels. I kept this in mind as I designed Truthbringer, making him a hyper carry.



I have reworked this guy a billion times. But I'm finally happy with this incarnation.

Lore

In the very highest of the seven heavens reside the Angels, more elusive than even the Gods themselves, the Angels only take action when all that is good is the world is truly threatened. Doombringer, in an ancient dark crusade against the mortal wold, once united all of the seven hells to conquer the world. To stop him heaven sent down but a single angel, the Truthbringer. Uncountable demons fell when the hammer of justice stuck the ignition of his holy bullets. Though in the end it was not Truthbringer, but a mortal champion who sent the Doombringer back to the pit. When the dark crusade was over Truthbringer brought the mortal champion with him back to the highest heaven as reward for his courage.
Now the war of the Ancients threatens all that is holy and just again. And the Truthbringer must descend down from the highest clouds to help save the world once more.
