Tokitoki was the first and final dream of the fungal world, a tiny, seemingly harmless spore, drifting lazily though the air with oversized emoty eyes and dopey brainless smile. It was the pinnacle of fungal evolution, life distilled to its purest hunger for survival. But Tokitoki was not created to coexist. It was created to consume. Where Tokitoki lands, the ground blackens. Fields become coprse-gardens, mountains rot from the inside, seas bloom with tendrils of luminous death. And worse still. Tokitoki doesn't even realize it's doing it, it simply wanders, humming a tuneless melody, as the world dies laughing behind it. If, one day, Tokitoki were to understand what it is... if it ever learns how to control the sprawling fungal network it leaves behind... There would be no wars, no heroes, no Ancients, only Tokitoki, and the endless, laughing spores. For now it remains a mindless infant god, stumbling its ways across the living world, smiling as everything wilts.
