Description
Sieging a tower causes it to drop shards. These shards are collected as a global resource, granting access to abilities and upgrades at certain landmark values. They can be picked up by either team and cannot be destroyed.
Each tower drops 5 shards: 1 at 50% health, 1 at 25% health, and 3 on being destroyed.
1 Shard = Unlocks Ability - Glyph of Fortification.
3 Shards = Unlocks Passive - Tower Protection. (+3 Armor, +1 Hp Regen)
5 Shards = Unlocks Ability - Scan.
8 Shards = Upgrade Tower Protection to Level 2 (+5 Armor, +3 Hp Regen)
10 Shards = Unlocks Multishot Towers on Glyph.
12 Shards = Upgrades Tower Protection to Level 3. (+7 Armor, +5 Hp Regen)
15 Shards = Unlocks Ability - Capture Outpost.
20 Shards = Upgrades Tower Protection to Level 4. (+9 Armor, +7 Hp Regen)
25 Shards = Unlock Ability - Shrine Restoration (Base shrines restore health and mana)
30 Shards = Upgrades Glyph of Fortification - Increases fortify duration by 3 seconds.
40 Shards = Upgrades Scan - Adds 3 charges.
50 Shards = Upgrades Siege Units to Mega Siege Units.
